Our client is a leading asset management firm with $30B+ AUM and looking for an experienced Investment Operations professional to join the team.
The Senior Investment Operations Associate opportunity includes, but is not limited to, trade processing, security cash flow processing, review of security master data, daily trade reporting, and asset reconciliation. This individual will be responsible for researching and resolving any discrepancies that pertain to trades and data across the portfolio, along with working with internal and external parties to maintain and improve processes. Knowledge of BlackRock Aladdin trading system preferred to perform the daily job functions.
· Oversees the flow of information through the order management system (Aladdin) and ensures efficient trade execution.
· Understands various investment products in order to properly analyze and apply cash flows in the trade system.
· Processes and confirms details of all trading activity executed daily.
· Reviews and monitors security set up in Aladdin and communicates discrepancies to various operational teams to ensure accurate information is being disseminated.
· Reconciles investment portfolio cash balances and asset positions in order to ensure accurate booking of trade activity.
· Assists with the flow of asset pricing by working with brokers and vendors in order to ensure data integrity.
· Assists with creation of daily and monthly reporting requirements that are used by various departments.
· Works with other departments to fulfill requests including Investment Strategy, Investment Accounting, and Internal Audit.
· Performs process reviews and policy creation to ensure that operations flow is efficient.
· Completes ad hoc requests and reports.
· Willingly takes on additional responsibilities as requested in order to accomplish department and Company objectives.
· Actively participates and contributes to the goals and objectives of the Company by working collaboratively and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
· 3+ years of relevant experience in trade operations.
· 2+ years of experience working with Aladdin strongly preferred
· Prior experience working with utilities including SWIFT, FIX, OMGEO and DTC
· Familiarity with multiple asset classes including derivatives and structured products.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment.
· Ability to multi-task and prioritize workflow in a fast-paced environment.
· Self-motivator and proactively seeks solutions to issues as they arise.
· Capable of resolving systems issues independently in the trading system.
· Advanced working knowledge and application of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
