David D. Jones is a nationally recognized Human Resources leader with more than 30-years of C-Suite experience developing and implementing innovative and transformational Human Capital strategies across multiple industries.

As President, Human Capital Solutions for MalinHughes, David leverages his deep business experience designing and building industry leading professional services solutions. In addition to working directly with a rapidly growing client base, Human Capital Solutions also collaborates with the dynamic MalinHughes’ Executive Search enterprise to provide a full spectrum of services including broad-based Talent and Workforce Solutions.

Previously, David was the Chief Human Resources Officer for Stanford Health Care where he led the staffing and HR workstreams for the opening of the new Stanford Hospital, implemented the StandOut employee engagement program, and developed new services and programs to support the caregivers and remote workforce throughout the pandemic. David hired Stanford Health Care’s first Chief Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) Officer, and has had a critical voice as the health system has built out the strategy and framework for the DEIB program.

Prior to Stanford, David held CHRO and executive roles at Kaiser Permanente, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Illinois, Bon Secours Health System, and at Ameritrade during its hyper-growth era where he implemented workforce solutions to support Ameritrade’s aggressive e-commerce business strategies.

David holds a master’s degree in industrial and labor relations from West Virginia University, and is certified as a senior professional in human resources (SPHR) and as an internal consultant in managing organization change. David is considered a thought leader in Human Capital Strategy and is a popular conference and keynote speaker, having lectured audiences across the country and globally on such topics as diversity and inclusion, wellbeing, human resources transformation and employee engagement. He has also written numerous published articles on related topics and is a contributing author of two books.

David has recently been recognized as one of the Top 50 Diverse Leaders in Northern California Award by the California Diversity Council and received the OnCon ICON Award as a Top Ten HR Professional.
